Ok, so I'm on dragonvale wiki as usual when I go to Dragon Trip's page. I see a message, and do you know what it says? "I'm joining bookwyrm wiki", that's what. I love reading, so I decide to come here.
So, I, after weeks and weeks and weeks of forgetfulness, come here. Today. I write this blog. And I'm obviously currently doing so.

Wikia Book Club: The Hobbit

Where The Heck Did The Name "Bookwyrm" Come From, Anyways?
Probably this question has gone through the minds of a few of you. "Why wyrm?" "Why is there a dragon on the front page?" Tis about time I explained, I figure.
I know a small handful of you are familiar with the author Mercedes Lackey, and her various series. One of those series is called, "Tales of the 500 Kingdoms." The concept is that every single fairy tale or myth exists in this world, and a quite mysterious force called the Tradition forces people or situations to match that myth. It's up to the fairy godmothers to keep the worst of the stories from coming true, because the Tradition does not ensure a happy ending, but it will ruin lives.

Bookwyrm Wiki Book Club
Hello, fellow bookwyrms!
We are finally going to create a book club! This blog will handle all information, sign-ups, and guidelines. For now, though, I would like to just get some members.
Now then, the sign-ups. All members are welcome to join the book club, and some rules will follow soon. If you are at all interested, please put a comment below that includes your time zone (we may end up having two meetings for people who couldn't make the first one).

The phases
Here's my thoughts about how this place is likely to progress, and an explanation to everyone on why there aren't that many other staffers yet....
Phase 1: The current phase. At this point the wiki has very few users. All staff decisions are made by the Founder in hopes of setting up a stable community; forums are open to all users on policy and content. Policy pages and guidelines are not locked.
As a part of this phase, and a note to anyone who might have come across this before this phase expires: applications for staff will be closed after a certain point is reached, either in number of staff or size of community. At that time, all current staff will go under review to determine whether or not their participation warrants demotion, …

- Reordering of all categories on individual pages: Author, Series, Genre, (any category such as Young Adult comes next), then the In progress and Article Stubs if those exist on the page.

I felt it was about time to start a journal. The Clan is in a bit of strife at the moment, and I, along with the rest of the elders and leaders, have been holding a meeting. Torrens and Immotus both suggest that we move, as the main problem appears to be that we have run low on supplies. The leader, Primiserius, has sent scouts to find a suitable place to move. We have faith in our best scout, Cadifor. He came from a different clan, hence the unusual name.
